EDIT: OOPS, totally forgot to color April's wristband thingie before! But now it's taken care of, I also darkened her eyebrow just a bit.
Ahh, I feel like I got something off my chest now.
I ship this pairing pretty hard. But I have a feeling it's not going to happen. Damn you Casey, don't ruin this, please! TTwTT
I had a blast coloring Donnie, oh my glob it was so much fun!Katara April was also somewhat nice to color, but of course the background was challenging. Thanks to my rant journal I was able to try a bit harder than usually though, and was able to make it look decent instead of utterly horrible, haha. They're supposed to be in Donnie's lab, but I didn't want to stare at references all the time so I took some artistic liberties...

GREAT ARTWORK!!! How frustrating for Donnie, being a mutant, not human, to fall for some cute teenage girl who is constantly in his presence. April returns his affection to be sure, but there is a barrier she keeps between them to keep things from deepening to a level where they can both be seriously hurt. I mean, honestly, if she were as head over heels about Donnie as he is about her, how could they make it work within the confines of this tight-knit family unit? Same thing goes for Leo and Karai, only they are basically really related as family members since both share Splinter's DNA. Love can be a real pain sometimes!
