Apritello: Dive Process

Surprisingly many of you wanted to see more WIP footage and sketches from me, so here's the different stages of this painting:

I'll try to make a sketch dump at some point too, but I wanted to post this because I really like the original sketch for this piece. Usually I fall in love with a sketch, start hating it after cleanup and then regain most of that love once the picture is finished, but the feel of the finished piece is always a little different from the original idea. Not saying it's somehow "worse" than it was at first, just different.

By the way, I'd still love to hear your feedback on my art. I realized I haven't clicked on the "request critique" button in ages, so now I added it to some of my recent works. I specifically hadn't requested it on my Apritello pieces because I thought it would be a great platform for people to bash the pairing if they don't like it, but now I have faith in you! I'd really like to know what you like about my art and what I could improve on (even though I already have a long list of things to improve but maybe you could think of a few more haha).
